    @Elvis:  Same as me! I say get the more expensive one, but I guarantee you will be able to find it at a MUCH cheaper price online or in outlets!

    Yeah, they look so similar.  I would just pick one, and go with it.  Don’t look back!

    Not to confuse you further, but have you considered Lenox Federal Platinum? That’s my pattern, and it’s also very similar to both of these. I’m posting from my phone, so I can’t see all of the details perfectly. However, I don’t care for the style of the tea cup handle in the first pattern, and I’m not as fond of the rim design on the second. The Lenox may give you the best of both worlds.

    The Wedgwood pattern, especially in the extra pieces not pictured above, is stunning!! But I agree you need to see it in person to decide.

    Also, I would not choose a pattern based on price.  These are heirloom-quality pieces, so the price difference seems less significant over the long haul.  Also, your family and friends want to give you special things you couldn’t otherwise afford, so choose the pattern you really love.

    ETA:  Ooh, I really love @Brielle‘s pattern (Lenox Federal Platinum).  This thread is making me wish we registered for china!  We decided not to because my mother promised me her set as soon as Fiance and I are ready to start hosting Christmas, etc. Although her floral pattern is not what I would have chosen, obviously it is very special because it is hers.  I am loving the classic, yet modern, patterns posted in this thread.

    @LittleRiver:

    I agree that she should not select a pattern strictly based on price. OP, Macy’s often has sales on fine china, and the vendors also offer some amazing promotions. In addition, Bed, Bath, & Beyond offers 20-percent-off coupons. I registered at both stores, and I’ve received some wonderful savings while completing my pattern.
