Round brilliant all the way! I think halos have been a major trend for awhile now, but that doesn’t mean that it is a trend to you- you could love the first ring forever! But I prefer a more classic, timeless style that an Round Brilliant has. It’s beautiful. Plus- after you leave the jewelry store, I feel like the pave sort of just becomes a nuisance.

My best advice: stop everything and do not look at ANY rings for a month. A whole month. There will likely be one that you keep thinking about. Get that one.

They are both really beautiful so you just have to go with your gut. Don’t think about trendy vs classic etc or anything except what do you love the most?! I have a round brilliant solitaire with a pavé band. I love it but I was not involved in the decision whatsoever. My husband just went to the store one day and bought me a ring…I never gave him input. If I picked out my ring, would I have picked this one? I’m not sure because I like so many things. It’s good that he picked for me because I don’t know how I could pick just one ring! I love that it’s classic and sparked like crazy. There are so many different beautiful rings out there, you can’t go wrong, just go with what you love.

Emerald cut definitely. Reeks of elegance and class.

I have a solitaire that looks almost identical to the one you like! Sometimes I wish I picked out something more flashy with more finger coverage, but at the end of the day I chose a solitaire because it is classic.
I look at rings from the 80’s and can’t help but think of how dated they look, and I like that mine will be timeless and age well! I can always get a blingy band to go with it, and the tulip basket adds some uniqueness.
