Please help! I tried on dresses earlier this week, and decided I loved the Essence of Australia D1460 best (plus that was the dress I went in wanting to try). I also tried on the Maggie Sottero Divina and was surprised by how much I liked it because I tend to like simpler things (as does FI).
Well, I went back to the salon today to try on these two dresses again, and now I think I may like the Divina better. While I think my figure looks better in the D1460 (easier to see in person), the Divina is just so pretty and I love the train.
The tops of the two dresses are so similar…I just need to decide if I want to go simple or fun (it is my wedding dress, after all). Which one do you think I should pick?
Divina on the left. D1460 on the right.

I’m so in love with the one on the right on you!!

The D1460 is very elegant!

No contest for me the D1460 is way more flattering on you. I don’t think that horizontal line on the Divinia does you any favors it’s a very abrupt transition. I’m also not a fan of how obvious the boning is over your thighs.

I’m not a fan of dresses that cut across the legs/hips so I’d go for the one on the right. If you’re more into the shape of the right one I’m sure you can find something similar with ruffles.

@kitkat2014: I voted for D1460, but I think you’re right and you need to decide which aspect of your personality you want to embrace on your wedding day. Clearly you look amazing in either dress so it becomes less about appearance and more about mood. When you look back and remember your wedding day, which memory (fun & sassy & the center of attention? or simple and classy?) will give you more pleasure?

@Jijitattoo: I guess I like to think of my style as more classy and timeless. Now that you pointed that out, I’m afraid I would look back and think the Divina was a little trendy.
I’m kinda surprised by how one-sided the poll results are. But my friends are all saying the D1460 as well (except for a couple). And that includes a couple guys. I do think that guys tend to not like wedding dresses with a lot going on, and Fiance is the same. Thank you everyone for your help! I think I’m gonna go with the D1460.

I voted for Divina- I think the bottom of that dress would be so much fun- if you had calla lillies, they would almost mirror your dress.
