My fiance and I are getting married next spring and we’re deciding between two photographers. They are very different in style and we want the best of two worlds, but we have to pick one!
Which one do you like?
Michelle Lindsay Photography (artistic, romantic, pure)
Roggio Weddings (colorful, fun, natural)
Their blogs have coverage of entire weddings/engagement sessions.

Depending on your budget how about you organise an engagement shot with each one. This way you can get a ‘feel’ for the photographer and see their work first hand, instead of just their best shots in their albulms and on their webpages.

i can see why your having difficulty choosing they are both so good. although i think they are very different photographers one seems more romantic and photography two seems more fun. it all depends on which you would rather have, and the setting you are getting married in… i could decide between these two… i’m not much help am i… i think either will provide you with amazing photos…. good luck with your decision 🙂

Totally depends on your style! Personally, for me, I like more romantic shots, so I’d go for the first one. However, the second is really great too! Tough decision.

I voted for Michelle but it was really close. Both of them have great portfolios. To choose my photographer I made a chart and looked at what I was getting with each to see who had the edge. I also took into consideration personality ( like who I felt clicked better wit us). Spreadsheets make decisions easier.

I love both! But I voted for the first because her work is more timeless and romantic. She seems like she would be able to take your breath away by her photos.

THANK YOU GIRLS! Very helpful!!

I think that I am going to have to go with Roggio. I just think that there where romantic shots but also fun shots… I think that it is the best of both plus the shots where unique and not something that you see time and time again. I am going to still agree that both look to be really good, you have a tough decision to make!

Both are good, but I do like Roggio better. I agree, I think it comes down to what style you like best. have you met with the photographers in person? You may ‘click’ with one better than another.

I really like the first one! Some of her photos made me think, “Wow! That’s a really beautiful photograph!” I’m sure she does do some fun shots too or she can.
Have you met either of them yet? I picked out 3 photographers I liked, and when I met with the first one I just knew she was it. Sometimes just meeting them can help you decide.

They’re both excellent. I like Michelle Lindsay’s use of light more though. Every photo seemed perfectly balanced and felt like it was telling a story.

I voted Michelle, but like everyone else has said, its a tough choice!

I was definitely blown away by the 1st one, but the 2nd has great work too! I’d probably be happy with either one! I honestly would just weigh options and see which one you are getting more from.
Also, did you meet with both of them? I would go with whoever I “clicked” better with and felt more comfortable with.
They are both great!

Oh my god, the votes are fairly equal!
It sounds like Michelle’s photographing skills are favored by those who really appreciate photography as an art and of course for girls who are hopelessly romantic 🙂
Roggio, on the other hand, has a real talent in capturing those happy, priceless expressions and moments from the big day. They are pure joy. It’s a tough call!
Our venue is rather traditional but it’ll be a dance-all-night kind of deal.
Both photographers offer real studio lighting photo booths and if our budget allows, we may add that. Knowing how goofy our friends can get, that may be a great way to complement Michelle’s photos.
As many of you wisely suggested, it’s probably important to get the feel of who they are. I made the appointment to speak to one of them over the phone (since location is far from where we currently live) and meet with the other. Perhaps the meeting will have a bit of advantage since I’ll get a better sense and see more of the work.
Apparently, some girls have been contacting both of them for my date so that’s the reason we’re in a slight panic!
THANK YOU AGAIN!!! All of my bridesmaids are overseas so it’s hard to get quick advice. You brides-to-be are most helpful!
Will always welcome more comments, opinions, advice 🙂

I picked Roggio.. it looks like this photographer is better at the work that comes after the day (photoshop, etc). Those photos look more vibrant and “finished” to me.
The biggest part of it, as PPs have said, is who you are comfortable with and which personality works best with you.
ETA: the other photog is great too! I meant to say that!
