Okay, so I’m starting to reconsider whether or not to bother with the favors. My plan has been to buy bulk wildflower seeds, print out templates, cut them out, glue them together, pour in seeds, and there you go. Pretty little packets, nifty little favors. But now I don’t know.
On the one hand, I really like the idea. I’m from an area that pretty much always does favors (I’ve never been to a wedding without them). I think they’re cute. They’re a fun way to add another DIY touch to the wedding. I’ve already bought the stamps I’m planning to use to decorate them (I was going to decorate a blank template, then scan it and print rather than hand stamping each one). I just really *like* them.
On the other hand, it’ll mean printing, cutting out, and gluing 200 or so pieces of paper. And I have discovered that I hate cutting stuff out. It’s yet another uneccessary cost. We’re not doing real food at the reception, therefore no tables for everyone, therefore where would I even put them to make sure people see them? I’m pretty sure there’d be a lot left over and if I found out I’d be sad after all the time they’d take to make. No one really cares about favors anyway, when it comes down to it, right?
So what do I do? I’m thinking you’ll say nix ’em. Which is rather sad. What other uses could I find for the very pretty daisy stamps I’ve now bought? Perhaps on the programs, any other thoughts?
