I’ve had just about every hair color there is in the last few years, I’m super torn about what hair color to do for my wedding and it’s getting the point I need to make a decision and stick with it over the next few months.
I’m posting two very old pictures (from when I was a kid and in junior high), wayyyyy before I started dying my hair, just to show the natural color. I’ve heard everything from dark blonde, dirty blonde, strawberry blonde, light chestnut brown, light reddish brown, ect. So telling you probably wouldn’t give you any better of an idea
Anyway most people tell me either to go back to my natural color or to do it dark brown. I love dark hair, but I hate the upkeep at my roots. The rest of my hair always winds up getting too dark compared to the color my roots wind up.
Anyway here goes!

Oops I forgot this one, this was what my hair darkened up to a year before high school, I think it’s fairly close to this now.

Honestly, as a complete stranger the colors in all of these pictures look really similar and natural on you. I THINK I might prefer the last picture the best as I scrutinize more, but you can’t go wrong.
As your fiance what he prefers for some extra insight also

@Gabthebee: Lol well thank you! My fiance met me with dark hair so I’m pretty sure he prefers it dark, but he always says whatever color I have I pull off well and it doesn’t matter to him- to which I usually say is crap haha but you get the point 🙂
@atreyu547: Thank you!

@Birdiebaby4: I think all of them look good, however I think the dark brown really makes your eyes pop and compliments your skin color very well. You can’t go wrong with any of them, I promise

@Birdiebaby4: love the way your hair looks in that second photo. Looks like it’s close to your natural colour in the 2nd younger picture you posted just with a little more oomph.

@Birdiebaby4: all of these pics look beautiful. How would you identify yourself? Looking back at pictures of your wedding day, what do you imagine yourself looking like? This may be a silly comparison, but shortly before taking my grad pics I felt like getting highlights ( I normally have dark hair ). I decided to hold off until after picture day because I wanted the pic to reflect how I felt most like myself. The highlights are fun and I do them now and then, but I will always consider myself a dark brunette even when I appear to be light brown sometimes.
Hope that helps!

The dark hair makes your eyes pop, big time!! That’s my vote!

@cupcakebride2013: Thanks so much!
@MsGinkgo: I agree, ironically the one in the second is from the same day as the first! It’s just one shot we were in a covered bridge and the other we were in the sun. But I have kept it closer to a lighter brown like that in the past.
@Pink Asawa: I totally understand, I think I’ve kind of switched over the years. In highschool I was very blonde for the majority of it (after a dying accident where my hair was black for close to a year), but right before senior pictures I had my stylist lowlight it really heavy to my natural color (or close to) and at the time I regretted it later because I thought of myself as a blonde. Now I’m considering it for the wedding possibly though. It’s strange too because everyone in my family thinks of me as reddish blone and is pushing for that, and when my hair is that color I feel like I’m looking at how I always used to look, but at the same time when I dye it dark since I’ve been doing it for so long it’s what I’m used to!
This was my senior color:

The darker hair makes your eyes pop! Ask your Fiance, you think he prefers the dark, but you might be surprised!!
