Definitely the elbow with a dress like that.  It will look beautiful.

I don’t like bird cage veils… so I’d pick anything over that.

Why don’t you do both!

I was torn as well, but ended up rocking my birdcage the whole time. But in reality birdcages are so affordable (I got mine on etsy for $20!) it won’t bust your budget to get both 🙂

I love bird cage veils….but I think your dress would look better with an elbow length veil.

I agree with doing both. You can do the elbow-length for the ceremony and the birdcage for the reception

I like elbow length for your style of dress.

Birdcage veils look better with vintage looking dress’ or sleek/slender dress’, mermaids etc, your dress is gorgeous whimsical/flowy…. would love to see you in a elbow veil.

You could try to sneak a few questions in to your man! I was torn as well, but was leaning more towards a birdcage veil until I was flipping through a magazine and asked my man, “Hey do you like this?” He replied with an uncomfortable look on his face and said, “Whatever you do don’t get one of those weird net things that girls wear on their heads at weddings I hate those!!” Well there was my answer!!

@mrs.peters.to.be:

hahaha…that is hilarious.  Great idea in getting your man’s opinion.

@AnnieAAA: I’m doing a cathedral for ceremony and a semi-birdcage for reception 🙂

Both! I’m wearing a cathedral for the ceremony and then changing into a bird cage for the reception.
