I’m looking for a venue in Toronto that can accomodate 220 people but that’s not a typical banquet hall. I was looking at the fermenting cellar in the distillery district and I absolutely love it, but I’m wondering if anyone has dealt with them – are they flexible? What price point did they give you per person? Did you like the food??
I’ve looked at other venues, but nothing is catching my eye that can accomodate that large a group. I’m looking for a place where I can take pictures in the same location, so any place with either a nice outdoor area or interesting architecture would be great!
I’m getting married in a church, so it’s just for the reception.

Steam whistle brewery, Graydon hall, Hart House, Fermenting Cellar, all hold up to 250-300ppl.

I am using Distillery Events (who own the Fermenting Cellar) for our wedding, we are going with Archeo as we are having a smaller wedding and are also using their outdoor patio/garden for our ceremony.
The coordinator we are working with is super lovely and accommodating and the food menus are the same for all four of their venues. A copy of it can be found here: https://www.distilleryevents.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/DE-Menu-Package-2018-July-17-2018-Edit.pdf The food prices are all there but all the Distillery Event spaces operate on minimum spends so you will need to check the fact sheet for there to see what the minimum spend is for the day you are wanting it. The Fact Sheet is here: https://dev-distillery-events.pantheonsite.io/wp-content/uploads/2018-Fermenting-Cellar-Fact-Sheet.pdf
If you’re looking for other venues with a similar sort of vibe to Fermenting Cellar you could try the Great Hall, Evergreen Brick Works, The Burroughs, 99 Sudbury (but only if you’re getting married in 2018 they close for renovations in January 2019 for the rest of the year) The Factory Warehouse, The Warehouse, or Eglinton Grand.
Hope that helps!
