panda_bride :  Hey there Toronto bride here getting married in Niagara on the Lake.

Doing our own centerpieces , my dads gf that I am very close with is an interior designer so shell be able to make really nice ones without it costing me insane amount of money since we have alot of tables. We are doing big babys breath bunches which are cheap to buy and easy to maintain in vases..some tall vases some short.

We are budgetting around 600 for that for 25 tables.

She is literally taking my venue floor plan and creating the decor ideas on a computer program, I think we will also be doing tall candles and some other romantic themed things as well as a paper flower wall.

My venue is the Pillar and Post using ballroom for reception and rose garden for ceremony..looks very..beauty and the beast almost?

Also getting string lights which are costing me 1500 for the dance floor ceiling portion

Renting chiavari chairs because I personally cannot stand the banquet chairs… those will be around 1500 to rent as well.

I love the messy/big bouquets and the venue in house floral is doing those for us. I believe for my bouquet and 7 bridesmaids the quotes is around 800.

I may make the corsage/guy flowers but those arent expensive so not big part of budget.

So I guess so far our spending on decor/floral is 4500 which we are comfortable with.

panda_bride :  Have you booked your venue yet?? I chose a venue that really doesnt need much decor at all.  When you book a banquet hall, its more of a blank canvas and your decor costs will likely be higher this way.  if youre willing to source things out on your own and not hire an actual decor company it will also be MUCH cheaper.  I’m buying a few decor items but I plan to sell them on Kijiji after.  I can tell you for sure that my flowers cost $3,000 after taxes and miscellaneous decor costs will be around $500??  But like I said, my venue is already very decorated on its own.
