@MsJ2theZ:  Ooooh I love the idea of the $5 gift cards attached! I was going to do the bouquet toss but wasnt planning on wering a garter but I like the idea of having one that he can throw anyways!

We did it and the ladies had a blast. Most of my friends are in their late 20’s and early 30’s. We also provided them with a $10.00 gift card to Starbucks asa bonus.

I think it is a fun and traditional activity and I don’t see anything tacky about it. Weddings are parties, it is a fun party game and not to be taken so seriously. If you think your guests would enjoy the activity then do it, otherwise no harm in skipping if that is more comfortable.

@sasi:  the question is: how many single ladies are there.  if you only have a handful, it might look silly doing the toss, if there is a larger number, then do it. but the custom is entirely up to you.

i am 31 and my Fiance is 35, we are not doing the garter toss and i haven’t decided about the bouquet toss yet.

we will have about 10 single men and 10 sing ladies at the wedding ranging from 30 to 60.

i hear the trend of not having either toss is getting higher, espcially with people marrying older.
