Wow, I wish I had some of you ladies budgets.  I am having 150 guests (I hope) and a budget of around $3000.  I want to keep it less than $5000.  I found great deals on flowers, photography, my dress and the venue.  I can do it but it just takes more work.

What is killing us is the caterer…. we might have to hire someone instead of a professional company to make the food and then use plastic servingware, which I am NOT happy about. 🙁

We will be having about 135 guests and our total cost will be about $38,000… It could have EASILY been another $10,000, maybe even $20,000 more!!!  So I think for 400 guests $55,000 is great!  I feel like I have done so much negotiating and researching to find the best deal but not skimping on quality… Fortunately my parents are giving us $30,000 ,and gifting us $2500 to use toward our honeymoon, and his parents are giving us $5,000, so we only have to cover a few thousand dollars plus whatever we go over the honeymoon gift $.

Sometimes I wish we had gone to budget route and done the wedding for $15k and taken the remaining $20K and put it toward a house, but I WANT the elegant wedding in the venue of my dreams.  I’m sure everyone that didn’t spend as much as we are still had a beautiful wedding!  I just happened to fall in LOVE with an expensive venue!

Wow! That’s a lot of money! I can’t even wrap my mind around that. Our budget is $7500. Here a rough breakdown of what we’ve spent so far.

Venue $1700, $400 is a security deposit that we’ll gt back.

Caterer: $15 per head and we have 90 people coming.

Hair: Free, my bridal attedent also does hair.

Make up: $15 my friend is trying to build up her portfolio

Photographers: $50 my friend is also trying to build up her portfolio and my aunt is also a photographer so we’ll have a ton of pictures.

Dress/Shoes/Petticoat: 291.10 and that includes shipping.

We also ordered some items through ebates so we got cashback for things we bought, we also used retailmenot to get free shipping in some cases. We prayed, and are still praying, we can keep saving money while having the wedding of our dreams.

About 100 guests. We hope to keep the costs (ideally) down to about 7,500 USD, most of which will go on a silver service meal, an evening buffet, and alcohol.

We had 270 people and our wedding cost 37K. Like you, I felt like I did very well since larger weddings cost much more!

My wedding has undergone so many transformations in this process (aka everything fell through multiple times!) and we were left with our original pipedream event – a camping wedding.  Because we couldn’t host our caterer in the site, we were forced to cater ourselves, which we’re okay with because we absolutely love hosting parties and I event plan for work.  I think all in all we will spend about $1.2k on the event itself (good beer/wine and food supplies for 70, borrowing decorations from work and using what I already have at home) and if we choose to go on a honeymoon (we are currently having that hard discussion of buying a house or doing a honeymoon – yikes), it will be another $0 since my mother leaked it yesterday that my Mother-In-Law plans to hand over a fat wad of cash for either the honeymoon or a downpayment.  GOD, I love that woman.  lol

Oh, the bachlorette will have a cost though – maybe $200 or so.  I refuse to make my girls pay my way.  I’m stubborn and I’m forcing them to do something healthy so I figure its my penance.  😉

We’re having about 120 guests and spending about 30,000 for a ceremony and wedding in New Husband. Fancy place, fancy-ish food, DJ, shuttles for guests so nobody has to drive, etc. It will be super nice!

Destination Wedding (which also counts as honeymoon) 10K estimated (7800 + videographer +booze and activities)

AHR: If we do it, about 7K for food and booze for 125, dj, etc.

This does’ include rings or wedding dress (es)…And I’m paying for all of it. Hubby is back in school, folks may help with particular items but overall nope.

Hm, I’m sure it’s going to be more as I have no idea how much food and alcohol will be, but thus far – we have 186 guests and the current cost is at $28K. I think when all is said and done, we will probably have spent close to $40k. Now that I have done the math, I need to call my parents and tell them once again how amazing they are…!

100 people for $15,000 and that’s not including our honeymoon since it was a gift from Fiance grandma.  We make about $80,000-$100,000 a year–FI is an electrician so some years he makes more money than others.

We are doing everything that we want for our wedding.  We have a gorgeous venue, amazing food, etc but we saved money because we booked our wedding during the off season.  We wanted our wedding in October but it saved us anywhere from $5,000-$10,000 total to move our wedding to November 3.  We are bargain hunters!!
