For the first wedding we were planning, we wasted about $5100 on the venue, $850 on one photographer, $200 on save the dates, $300 on our Frank Sinatra singer, and minor details here and there. We lost those deposits. This one was set for May 20th of this year.
On this one, according to my spreadsheet, it’s going to be around $10,000 total. We cut our guests by at least 40 or 50. There will be about 75 or 80 people this time, I think.

After reading so many “budgets” on here, I’m just shocked at the money people are willing to spend on one day. WOW. Hell no, for me! LOL

We had 120 people and spent $25k w/o rings or honeymoon. His cousin is getting married this weekend and has a much larger budget and said she is now worried about her wedding because she thinks ours turned out much better than hers is going to.

For 44 guests, we spent about $35K.

Once we include honeymoon, rings, rehearsal dinner, everything, I think we are at about 22k for about 150 people…Almost double what we had originally envisioned…but I think we were a bit naive planning our original budget with what we were visioning for our theme. I’m shocked at $90/head for catering, I thought $50, what we’re paying, was a lot! lol

Mine is still pretty far away but I’ve got everything either booked or planned. We’ll be about 25k all in, and that should include rings. We haven’t picked those out yet obviously but there’s still room in that number. And that’s about 200 people probably.

we’re paying 90 bucks per head but that doesnt include just the food – top shelf liqour open bar for a few hours… sweet table… etc. So I honestly don’t think its horrible considering some of the other prices I was given when we were looking for banquet halls! The place I dreamed of getting married at was charging $120 a head.. so that dream flew out the window really quickly!

$45,000 for approx 200 guests, and that is including the honeymoon and our wedding bands (but not my engagement ring).
We are paying for everything ourselves, and in cash. We will have been engaged for 17 months in order to save up enough money!

I think we are at 36k for about 125 people. I don’t think that includes the honeymoon or e-ring, but does include the rehearsal dinner and bands.
