My husband to be purchased a ring from Moissanite Co on 11-29-2012. They took the money out of our account instantly in the amount of 1900.00. I totally understand that because they have to custom make the ring. I contact the live chat to see time frame of the processing of this order and the person stated one in a half weeks t 2 weeks. My fianc’e checked daily on the status which was in production for over a week. Okay thinking they are doing a great job making this ring….Then the status changed to ready to ship where it stayed for 3 days. Now how is that? We paid for Fed ex 2 day shipping and it’s still there. Contacted live chat again because you can’t call. The lady Brenda asked how she can help me I stated I wanted to know when it was going to ship. She stated we will e-mail you. I stated this didnt answer my question and she said I wll have my supervisor contact you via e-mail. WHY??? did you lose my order? She stated I have nothing more to tell you and I have other calls to take. That is crappy customer service when you have 1900.00 of someones money. Then we receive an e-mail they mailed it to somone else….YEP but weird it shows ready to ship in their system. Now they want me to wait until they recover the ring from whomever they sent it to. I am so upset this kind of mistake someone should have called us. Now to hear that people pay this kind of money and stones fall out… I would never purchase from this company. Its like gambling with your money. I dont want this to happen to anyone else. Please learn from my experience go with a company you can CALL, customer service is #1. DONT order from this company…..

How crappy, sorry that had to happen to you. I agree customer service is #1 and it just seems to be getting worse and worse everywhere.

@disappointment: I’m so sorry that sucks! Expecially when you are so excited about something, I hope they do what’s right here!

@dlbaqua: No returns on custom made rings because it is a size 4. I am just sick that I have nothing at all. I basically gave them 1900.00 to made a ring for someone else. I just dont want this to happen to someone else. If I can save one person from ordering from them it was a lesson well learned. Karma is a Bitch!!!

Tell them you expect the 2 day shipping fee to be refunded. I think that it’s pretty awful that you can’t even talk to someone on the phone. I’m not in the market for a moissanite ring, but if I was, your story would certainly give me pause.

That’s terrible! I hope it’ll all work out for you. By The Way, the owners (Mike and Jera) of Moissaniteco has a forum on Betterthandiamond. Maybe a short, polite post on his forum to alert the of the situation, as well giving them an opportunity to do something about the mix up?

@disappointment: I say you report them to the BBB. This is unacceptable. It is their mistake to recover the mis-shipped ring and they should be in the process of producing a new one for you and overnighting shipping (waived) to you.

Shipping to the wrong address is indeed something they should have contacted you about immediately, but I would take a deep breath and know that it will all work out alright. You WILL get your ring, it WILL be gorgeous, and hopefully you’ll be able to let go of this negative experience.
As for pave stones (if indeed that is what you have on your ring), no matter where you get it from, pave is likely to fall out over time and stone will need to be replaced, that is the nature of the beast, and EVERY store/company has shipped jewelry to customers where stones falll out, mistakes do get made. Should the company correct them immediately and at no cost to the customer? Absolutely!
Anyway, I so sorry this has happpened, please do keep us updated on how your situation progresses and their future responses. My experiences with MCo have been *okay*, not amazing and not bad. So far in my experience it seems the two best places for outstanding customer service are Amcor and Schubachs, both of whom work with moissanite and can get a hold of any of the settings that MCo has. 🙂

So sorry you are going through this. With major purchases like this I only deal with business I can reach by phone or in person, pefer in PERSON only, there are so many local companies in everyone’s area to buy goods from. Online isn’t alwasy the way to go for this very reason. Hopefully they refund you the 2 day fed-ex shipping fee you paid extra for and maybe sometype of credit for a pair of earrings or something.
