I can help! I have a $36K budget and I’ll have around 100 guests. With bouquets, a ceremony arch, centerpieces, floral to line the ceremony aisle, cake table floral, and small centerpieces for cocktail hour, we were quoted at $3750. I have my review appointment in a few weeks so we can get a more exact number, but she said all of our stuff would be in the $3500-$4000 range. I live in south Florida where weddings tend to be pricier, and our florist isn’t the cheapest we found by a long shot. We probably could’ve gotten away with $2500ish but we liked the consultant and trust her vision!

This is the estimated breakdown she gave us:

Arch and floral $750

Centerpieces $150-250 a piece for a tall intricate arrangement

My bouquet $150

Bridesmaid bouquets $75

Ceremony lining floral $250

Cocktail hour floral $100

Etc floral (cake table, bathroom decor, flower girl petals) $125

Delivery and set up $150

Our wedding is outdoors, with landscaping all around so our floral needs are pretty small I guess. We are spending either $2,500 or $3,500 I don’t remember. But that is covering 10 table centerpieces, cocktail table decorations, loose petals for ceremony aisle, bridal bouquet and 2 Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets, and boutonnières, mob and mog posy. We really don’t have many flowers I guess… for our venue an arbor would take away from the view.

That seems REALLY high to me! For reference, I am located in Canada. I am going mroe simple with flowers and keeping costs low by using babies breath, as it is realtively cheaper. I am also using roses, hydrangeas and dhalias. However, my total cost for flowers, including head table, family table special centerpieces, flowers for each guest centerpieces, ceremony aisle flowers, bouquets for myself and 3 maids, corsages for mums and grandmas and boutinnierres for the groom, groomsmen and dads and its costing me approximately $1,000.

I can understand if you’re going to be doing LOTS more flowers that it would up the cost to $2,000 or so, but upwards of 5K?! That seems excessively high to me. I adore flowers, but I could never jusify spending 5K on them!

I suggest setting your budget of your 2,500 and looking for a vendor that can work within it. Don’t sopend 5K on flowers just because a couple peopel told you to. Often planners get benefits by referring clients to their preferred vendors, so keep that in mind. They could be upcharging you!

*side note, my guestlist is a little under 200 people, again for reference.

I paid around $1500 for ours (135 person wedding) with a total budget of around 40K.

My bouquet – $175 (Round, hand tied bouquet designed with slate blue succulents, blush roses, light pink/peach stock, spray roses, eucalyptus, silver bells, dusty miller.)

Bridesmaids – $55 x 4 (white hydrangeas, blush roses, stock, loosestrife and eucalyptus. dresses are slate blue. stems wrapped with white or pink ribbon.)

Junior Bridesmaid – $40

Centerpieces – $45 x 16 (5×5 vases with white hydrangeas, dusty miller, spray roses and seasonal flowers)

Arch Flowers for ceremon – $75 onsided flower arrangement hung from arch

Boutonneries – $12 x 7 (Groom, Dad’s, Groomsmen)

Coursages $14 x 3 (Moms and Grandmother)

The florist I hired had some of the better prices around and she did a beautiful job. I noticed she did a lot more weddings last year than previous years and seems to really be expanding her business.

Florals were really my only form of decoration, so I made sure I did enough to make it all pop and look nice. My wedding was in Mexico, so idk if the flower prices were comparable or higher. I had a 40 person wedding, about $20 total budget. I spend 3k on flowers. It included:

Big archway statement piece. Greenery (palms leaves) and white rose. Some of this was repurposed for sweetheart table and cake flowers

Upgraded bridal bouquet + 2 matching bridesmaid bouquets

4 centerpieces

2 corsages, 3 or 4 boutenuers

This is crazy. Far too much money to spend on something that dies. I actually know someone who spent $10,000! I spent $1500.

Got really nice and expensive bouquets made for me. Table flowers were put into arrangements the day before from flowers from the flower markets. Way cheaper. Inlaws had olive trees so we put olive branches on our tables too.

Also paid for someone to do the button holes

It really depends on your location. For example, someone started a thread here that she was also quoted $5K for basic personal and decor florals and she was pretty overwhelmed. However, she was also in high cost of living area in NJ and bees were replying to her that this is very average for her area. I am using mostly orchids bec my wedding has a tropical vibe and I’m quoted almost 2K and I’m in southern CA. But this is our civil wedding so I also don’t have a large bridal party.

Arch with florals – $450 (to be reused for sweetheart table)

Bridal bouquet – $175

Groom boutonniere – $ 25

MOB, MOG, Maid/Matron of Honor corsages – $ 35 each

FOB, FOG, Bridesmaid or Best Man, RB boutonnières – $ 15 each

Flower girl petals and basket- $25

centerpieces – $75 x9

cake table- $ 100

gift, guestbook and guest name table – $150x 2

I have our DC-area floral budget set at $2000.  I will definitely be getting creative.  Planning to use lots of cheap flowers and greenery and reuse whatever florals I can!

There’s such a huge range in terms of region and reputation or talent that I don’t know how relevant this info can be. I think your best bet is to compare vendors in your own area and price out similar projects. Don’t rely on photos since staffing can change. I’d recommend seeing their current work.

Depending on your area $2500 for everything you want may be a bit unrealistic unless you plan to do a lot of it DIY. Like I said, we spent about $3500 on florals for our DC wedding , which included centerpieces for 9 dinner tables, 5 cocktail tables (smaller), bridal bouquet, 2 bridesmaids bouquets, 5 buttoniarres, 4 corsages, 2 large glass vases with florals flanking the ceremony space,  flowers on the chair-backs for the ceremony, and flowers for the cake table.

I live in North Jersey, our total budget is $40K and of that I set a budget of $3500 for flowers. After some riggamaroll, I finally found a florist I am so excited about. The inital quote was right at $3500 (which was compariable to other vendors in our area for what we wanted) and she gave us a 5% discount for paying with cash however we choose to remove bud vases (~$700 for 20) and the total was $2700 (with the discount). Below is what we’re getting,

Bride bouquet $200 (1)

Bridemaids bouquets $200 (2)

Boutonnieres $150 (6)

Corsages $180 (4)

Mother’s bouquets $150 (2) *special request from FMIL

Ceremony Mantle arragement $400 (1)

Welcome Table arragement $250 (1)

Staircase installation $1000 (1) *the staircase is HUGE and the main focal point of the whole day so I knew it would be pricey

Set-up & delievery $250
