A year and a half is actually not that long, depending on where you live. If you live in a busy area venues get booked a longggg time in advance (We booked ours at 16 months). I’d say the first thing you should do is figure out a budget, agree on type of wedding, and make a list of who you think you’ll invite (Not a definite list but try to spit out as many names as you two can, and then make cuts if needed). Guest list and budget are the two most important thingsto start with. After that you should research venues.
You can’t know where to start without an max guest number, this determines which venues are big enough and which venues you can afford (Since it’s per person).
