I am looking for a ballpark figure on the total number of stems I’ll need for our wedding (I am growing the flowers myself!)
How many total stems did/are you going to use when its all said and done?
This includes centerpieces, bouquets, decor, boutonnieres, everything!

I think a lot of that is going to depend on what kind of flowers you are using. A single rose is not going to take up as much space as a hydrangea. What sort of look are you going for and what sort of flowers do you want to grow?

You are going to need a ton of flowers. For the poms, I am doing, I am using hydrangeas. Depending on the pom on a 4″ styrofoam ball, I am using either 11 stems or 3 1/2 bushes. I haven’t started the bouquets, centerpieces, etc., yet, but I know, I am going to need a ton more.

@futuremrsreed… Duh! I don’t know why I didn’t post that..
It will be mostly sunflowers with 3-5″ blooms and zinnias with a few hydrangeas and other flowers thrown in including bachelor’s buttons and coreopsis.
@caszos.. Thank you very much!!! very helpful indeed
