Im a naturally thin girl- and Ok great- cuz im so short and petite- I did want to gain a little weight- but definetly not in my mid section.. 🙁 My love handles grew and all, I do yoga/pilates from time to time, but I do stay away from running cuz I dont want to lose boob or leg weight. So I bought a waist trimmer belt with something called ” sweet sweat”.. And I plan on using both– applying cream then the belt over it, and some days wear it for a good 3 hours and other days use it while i do yoga /pilates.. has anyone at all triedf this? a waist trimmer belt or the sweet sweat? I know we cant target weight loss, but if Im sweating like crazy in one area many many times and doing upper body workouts, shouldnt it help with slimming it?

@Mrsgurzakovic: Not necessarily. Unfortunately you cannot “spot reduce”. Your body will lose weight in it’s own way. You can continue to tone the muscles underneath, but if you have excess fat in one place you can’t chose where your body loses it.
Sweating is just losing water weight that will come back when you re-hydrate. So if you have fat you want to lose, then you have to take in fewer calories than you burn and do some aerobic exercise.

I agree with KatNYC2011, I don’t think these waist trimmers will do anything. It’s all about the calories in vs. out, though I think some types of exercise may be better than others. I had some stubborn cellulite on the tops of my thighs that I thought I would never get rid of.. I was at a pretty good weight and was fit otherwise and would go to the gym occasionally and jog or do the elliptical. But a year ago I started doing spin class a few days a week and it did wonders! I didn’t really lose too much weight overall but it really toned up my thighs and midsection (goodbye cellulite!). I recommend spin to everyone, because it’s an awesome cardio workut and helps strengthen your legs and core. You really just need to eat healthy and find a good workout routine and stick with it!

@Mrsgurzakovic: Sweetie, I’m sorry but this waist trimmer thing sounds ridiculous! You are correct in that you can’t target weight loss in one area. If you don’t like your love handles, you’re going to have to do cardio to lose the fat.

I just wanted to say that running does not make people lose leg weight. I have been running for several months now, and can go 5 miles straight, several times a week, and my legs are not much thinner, tighter yes, but thinner, no.
As for the breasts yes, I have lost some, but you will anyways if you want to lose weight, because boobs are just made of fat.
I have definitely timmed my middle by running, and that has always been one of my trouble spots.
