Um, we forgot our 1 month. How sad is that? We only realized it because my dad wrote something on facebook. This does not bode well for future anniversaries.

I didn’t know 6 month anniversaries were a thing. Should I be planning something for this?

@ProfessorGirl:  I think it all depeds on the type of relationship you’re in. Some people are crazy about anniversaries and would probably celebrate them weekly if they could. Other people don’t care at all about them. My parents always have very low-key anniversaries, and I think they’re happy that way. So I think it varies with the couple.

Oh my, is that something that we’re supposed to celebrate?! Haha, not a month since we’ve been married have we recognized it’s been “this” many months since we’ve been married – and it’s almost been a year!

Relief!

Although, now I’m tempted to do something for the 6 month and see how long I can keep Darling Husband going that it’s a thing and he fogot it 🙂

I’m actually a little concerned that I will forget the 1 year. Can WB start a reminder service – email us when our anniversary is coming up to make sure we’re on top of it? I’m not totally kidding here.

We aren’t married yet and I don’t think we will be celebrating any “monthiverseties.” But we did forget about our 2 year anniversary of being together. We both remembered the next day lol! But in my defense there was soooo much going on with him just coming back from deployment like 3 days before and my sisters baby shower (which was super special do to the fact that she had a very hard time TTC, and she had a very difficult pregnancy), oh and the shower was on the same day as our anniversary.

We only celebrate our anniversary once a year.  I don’t even know when our 6 month is….  would have to think 🙂

@globalmargaret:  6 months? Seriously?

Anniversary means intervals of one year. I didn’t know that people past high school really celebrated anything less than a year.

My guy and I celebrate the yearly anniversary of our first date, but I always forget if it’s Dec. 4th or 8th! I guess I am one of those rare girls who doesn’t care all that much about that sort of thing.

If he forgot about your one year then fine… but 6 months is asking a bit too much. Instead of hinting, maybe you should have planned something fun for the both of you.

@ProfessorGirl:  Facebook has that function if you enter the date of your anniversary.  They remind you 🙂

@ProfessorGirl:  Yup!  They did it when I was just “in a relationship” on Fb…. they send you a reminder the week of, and the day of.  I would think it would do it for married couples on FB too!

@eagle:  Awesome. I never did the “in a relationship” thing on fb – just kept it at single until I was married.

Huh?  We’ve never celebrated a 6 month in all 7.5 years of dating and probably won’t either for marriage.
