I’m keeping my fingers crossed that everything’s okay.

Our house alarm went off once while we were away and it turned out some nieghbourhood kids had just gotten a little too close to one of the windows while playing. The loud noise they made triggered the alarm. Hopefully it’s something similar for you.

Dont worry, everything will be ok. it could be a faulty trigger.

Try to stay calm as impossible as that is right now until you hear from Fiance. And if it is anything lucklily noone was home. Do you have any animals? I know I accidently set the alarm wrong one morning and didn’t shut off the motion detector and my dog set it off.

Ah!  I’d be freaking out too.  I probably would of left work too, although its useless so I’m not suggesting you do that!  Chances are its nothing, we’ve had alarm systems that just trip out for no reason, well, no valid reason.  Its annoying, but no cause for concern.  Please keep us posted!

Is it b/c of a power problem? That can set them off.

My parents’ alarm went off once b/c they shut a door (just enough so the wires engaged, but not enough to latch) and a wind blew it open and the alarm went bonkers.

Our alarm goes off every once in a while for no real reason. It’s usually a faulty sensor. Hope everything is OK!

Eh my alarm went off twice and the police came. Turns out that my roommate wasn’t closing the front door fully (even though the deadbolt was locked) and when the wind blew it it made the alarm go off. lol

i hope everything is okay!

this happened to us once a few months back. i had to leave work and go find out what happened. too bad i live half an hour away and didn’t get back until the cops  had left. it turned out that one of our dogs had gotten out of her cage and set it off! our alarm is supposed to be “pet-friendly”

ughhh. we though all sorts of crazy things. Fiance even thought that his big screen tv might have fallen off the wall and set it off.

I’m glad everything is alright now, besides the replacing of the locks. But like you said it could’ve been much worse. Hope everything dies down and the guy gets caught.
