I have been so excited for my August 25th wedding… This is my second marriage and the first wedding was not very big and I did none of the planning as my mom totally took over! So this time around… I AM DOING EVERYTHING! And I am afraid I have bit off more than I can chew! Already have made… 400 tissue paper flowers for Pomanders, a beautiful card box and a matching guest book and pen. My theme is PEACOCK Feathers… UGH! My FH and I are making Truffles for our gifts and I am doing all the centerpieces (12) of Eiffle tower vases and Ostrich feathers in Purple, Turquoise and Black… I have table Number frames to paint and all the pomanders to put together yet… HELP!!! I’m afraid I am going to sink! Please tell me I am not the only crazy bride that has decided to do SO MUCH by herself! My BRIDESMAIDS haven’t even OFFERED TO HELP! WHAT IS THAT???? LOL

Hello Date twin! I’ve had an extensive DIY list as well. I started pretty early, so at least I have that. And I definately have stuff I want to add, but before starting any thing else my plan is to get the stuff done I have started! Right now I am working on my invites, mostly done and put together but a few finishing touches to work on! My advise: make a list of everything you need to get done and work off the list. Don’t start anything until it is done! Good Luck!

Apparently this date is popular among DIY brides. I’ve still got quite a bit to go. I’m finishing up invites and then have programs, pomanders, wedding wands, bridesmaid gifts, tears of joy packets, and probably more if I keep looking at the DIY boards. Thankfully my bridesmaids are willing to help. I told them we’d have a wine and ribbon night. Maybe that’ll help recruit some help for you. Good Luck!

Oh my gosh you too?! This week I am starting to freak out… I’m working on the invitations and am coming face to face with the fact that we are inviting 150 people at this point. I know they won’t all show up but that’s a lot of people. I’m feeling a bit scared. Hopefully this will pass.

OP you have alot of time. Take in a deep breathe it sounds like you have alot done. Just remember Fiance is there will to help too so that is an awesome thing. Just remeber if you have to call in some reenforcements from your bridal party. You are not alone.
I started freaking once my venue went loony. We started invites in feb so Im done with those. We are in the process of making fans and chair bows etc. Mainly just getting me in the right frame of mine. I am soon to be a wife

Ok… I am taking a few deep breaths! Future Mother-In-Law and Future Father-In-Law are staying at our house right now and I love them to death but when Future Mother-In-Law tells me that I am crazy for doing all this by myself… I tend to get a little upset. I just wanted to say… Ya know, if you don’t have anything positive to say, than please say nothing! I decided to cry instead… lol

Ya, I just completely and totally bit my fiance’s head off for not doing something ‘fast enough’. Needless to say, I have some sucking up to do when I get home tonight.
There IS time, it just doesn’t feel like it.
