@sbottiani:  Oh, man! That sounds really rough, I’m sorry.

When I start getting overwhelmed with planning, I take a break from it. Just a couple days usually, sometimes longer if I’m really ready to pull my hair out and start using our brand new cake servers as weapons. 😉  It sounds like you’re more than on top of everything, so why not look at your checklist one more time to make sure there are no immediate needs, then put it aside for a few days and read a book in what little downtime you have, or resume an old hobby you may have put aside to plan the wedding? Seems like your life is missing some fun, not to mention some rest for your poor brain.

That might not eliminate all your anxiety, but distancing yourself from all the tasks might provide a little perspective. There’s seven months to go until your wedding day, and you got this!

Hot tub? Watercolors? I commend your work ethic, because if I had those things handy I’d never get anything done, haha! 🙂

And you’re welcome! I hope the R&R from planning helps. My other trick, when I’m agonizing over a decision, is to find the top two or three favorites of whatever it is I’m debating – like tableware, say – and make Fiance choose. Even if I was leaning toward a different selection, I go with his choice and cross it off my list. Bam, done. Then there’s no more waffling, it’s a slightly sneaky way of getting a bit more help.

@sbottiani:  Oh my, you would be wreck if you were in my shoes….we are still looking for caterer, dj, linens, florist and baker! I’m not stressed tho because I know we will get it done one thing at a time. You are fortunate that you have almost everything done so RELAX! 🙂 I felt just like you when we started planning and it got so bad that I couldn’t sleep at night. I would suggest to give yourself a break from wedding planning. Since you have your exam next month then minimize wedding planning discussions at least until you do your exam. Take one thing at a time and allow your Fiance to help you in the planning.

Take a yoga class – you’ll feel amazing and it will relax you so you can put everything in perspective.  Works for me every time!
