I really like the first one…the problem with halo settings is that I think the center stone should pop and with a halo it all kinds blends in.

Solitare. Both looks nice, but the halo has a bit too much happening with all the tiny diamonds etc down the sides.

@jsimp12:  I have set #1 and I LOVE it!!  (I actually have the cathedral e-ring, but its the same.  I adore Shane Co)  It sparkles like no other, I get compliments all the time.  I also get a lot of comments about how classic it is.  Dont get me wrong, I love the halo too.  Go with your gut!

Both are gorgeous rings, so you really can’t go wrong! I give a slight edge to #1 because it’s a classic and won’t look out of style if the halo trend ends. I really wanted a halo but I went with a solitaire because of that reason.

i like halos better because they have more coverage. its REALLY pretty setting so that was my vote. I also think the stones are more safely set in that halo style

I prefer set number 1. I just love RBC and think this is a style that you would not get tired of! But if you do go with 2, I would opt for cushion cut over princess. My sister has a princess cut halo and I just think it looks sub par to a cushion cut but that’s the diamond solitaire her DH proposed with even though she requested something else :/ Both are beautiful choices and can’t wait to see what you picked!
