The first one!!!! I’m a 6,5 with long fingers and this solitaire would look so great and classic, even when you’re 80 and married for 50 years!Kiss

I think they’re both great options, but when I saw the pictures you posted I was drawn to the first one.  The solitaire just looks so elegant.

I voted for #1 because I have the exact same ring, also from Shane Co.  It is so beautiful and sparkly all over from the band to the center stone.  I like the solitaire because not having the halo allows more light to hit the big diamond from the sides and it sparkles more.

@jessandnick:  Hey bees! I’m bumping this for a different reason. First, I hope you were able to find the perfect ring, OP! I love the first one, because that is the ring I’m lusting after (in yellow gold, though). I actually cannot decide between @jessandnick’s cathedral version, or the ring in the OP. My concerns are 1) I would like to wear the ring every day. Is the band too thin to hold up to that kind of wear? 2) The setting is very high. Will it get snagged often, or should I be concerned about the diamond falling out? It’s a family diamond, so this is very important to me!

Advice from ladies who already have these kind of rings would help me a lot! Thanks Bees!

@MissTzatziki:  Yea!  I love this ring.  I chose the cathedral setting because of the side view, mostly asthetics.  I like the way the diamonds come up to meet the diamond.  It doesnt sit any higher than the OP ring does.  I wear mine everyday, and I work in the medical field.  Never had ANY issues with the gold wear or diamonds.  (plus Shane Co has such a great warranty, its never a worry)  The OP ring has a 6 prong setting, so if you feel that is more secure, then I would choose that one.  Mine only has a 4, and by looking at mine, it cant be changed.  Good Lucj, and make sure you let us know which one you choose!
