@CityBearBride:  I’m not a big Vera Bradley fan, but you know your friends better than I do… So they might love them! (And Kate Spade wallet and makeup bag? Swoon! Can I be your bridesmaid too?!)

I’m making gift bags too – with a nice individualized piece of jewelry, a fancy candle in a brand and scent for each that I know they will like, a bottle of champagne and a scarf. I might throw in some other stuff along the way, like a little box of nice chocolate or a mini emergency kit, but we’ll see how they look! Im ordering the totes from Oriental Trading, though, since the whole bridal party is getting a tote bag with gifts, and $21 for a dozen sounds a lot better than $30 per bag! 🙂

@CityBearBride:  I LOVE your  gift ideas – I would totally swoon over a Kate Spade wallet and make-up bag! I’m not a big Vera Bradley fan either, the prints are a little busy and hard to match – I would prefer a L.L. Bean tote, I think that one is a great idea and very neutral. I’ve had one foreverrrr, they’re so well-made! But if your BMs all like Vera Bradley, then by all means go ahead and order the VB totes!

i prefer when the brides pays for something wedding-related – hair, jewlerry, makesup etc… rather than a gift or trinket.

i’d much rather have a gift than her pay for my hair (it’s more thoughtful) and I love the bag! I wouldn’t use it day to day but I’d love it for weekend trip ect.

I’m not a Vera Bradley fan…I think you should get them the classic LL Bean totes with their monogram or name on them, or these monogrammed totes—they can reuse them as beach bags, for the gym, or even food shopping (and they’re only $15). I really think monograms makes things more special and shows you put a lot of thought into it.

OP- check out this site. http://www.simply-bags.com

Tons of cute totes, you can monogram them, or write names, and they even have special bridesmaid ones. And they’re mostly under $30.

I may be in the minority, but I would prefer a Vera bag.  However I’m not into carrying them as purses so I would like a larger shoulder bag which might get expensive.  just my opinion.

I am not a fan, but if you think they would like it, go for it
