Not being familiar with your job, I see ther are 2 ways to answer this. You could either talk about something that happened at your previous job (the restaurant) or you could talk about something in your current position and how you were uneasy about voicing your concerns as you didn’t feel it would acomplish anything but then spin it to cover the outcome that you learned from this experience and will next time be sure to voice your concerns as soon as you have them in hopes it may make a difference.

I can think of examples for IT, such as outsourcing development jobs.

I’m not sure what field you’re in.  Have you ever been on a project team where the team voted for something that you weren’t in favor off?  Did you voice your concerns about why you weren’t in favor of it?  Was it put to a vote?

I frequently give interviews for my workplace, and if you can’t think of an example that is relevant in your career, I would suggest substituting it with an example from your personal life (usually school related). You are in college, right? So like @coffeegal85:, have you ever had to do a group project?

@SweetRose2011:You could always just be honest and say something along the lines of: since I’ve only been here for a year, I haven’t really had a chance to be strongly opposed to any decisions.  With this promotion, I can see myself having the chance to voice my opinion more.  If I didn’t agree with something, I would… <do this and do that>

It is a behavioral type question.  They just want to see how you react to situations.
