The state of MA requires that you have health insurance, so yes, I have it through my job.

I live in Canada, everyone has free mediare –the health system is public. Since I’m a student, my student insurance covers dental/eye doctor/etc.

I’m in the UK – it makes me feel so at ease knowing I can go to the doctors whenever I need to and never have to worry! Despite its faults, the NHS system is amazing.

I’m from the UK as well. I’m so thankful we don’t have to pay for seeing a doctor or dentist.

I’m from Australia, so everyone has Medicare, which makes trips to the doctors’ so much better!

I had insurance my entire life… Until I graduated from college I was dropped from my parents. While I was looking for work I had none. Scariest time of my life! Luckily I found an amazing job with benefits, but going without is a horrible feeling!

I’m another UK bee. I know that some people look down on it, but I love the NHS!

(Although I’m really glad that the devolved government in Scotland runs the NHS up here rather than letting the stupid twunts in London sell it off.)

I’m so glad I’m from the UK, or else I would be screwed! For most of my adult life I could barely pay the token medication/dental care costs. Glad that’s over now…

I also can’t believe what they’re trying to do to the NHS now… I’m seriously thinking of heading to Scotland!

@Rachel631:  It’s horrifying. I hadnt realised how bad it had become until recently.

I have Medicaid because of me being unemployed and having a severe infection last year that hospitalized me. Even with the Medicaid I still owe $900 on that bill while being unemployed 🙁

I can’t wait to get on Hubbys insurance once we get married!

I filled out all the information back in 2010 to switch and I was going to pay for private insurance but I was denied because I have epilepsy. Luckily I was able to go on his work insurance as his domestic partner! Yay for health, dental, and eye!
