@ms.oregon.state: I always find comedies help me. Not romantic comedies. Cause then I start comparing our relationship to the super perfect fictional one I just watched. Just something that distracts you immediately for 2 hours and will make you laugh. Works wonders for me. I know it’s a short term solution, but sometimes feeling better for a short amount of time can sometimes become a long time. Why is it making you feel so deflated? There other stressors around you?

@ms.oregon.state:  I’m right there with you.  It’s not just that I’m waiting on the proposal, but it seems everything in my life is in a waiting stage right now.  I’m waiting to hear back on the 10+ resumes I sent out so I can start my career, I’m waiting to get my job so we can start to look for a house, and of course waiting on him to ask me… Just a bad waiting day.  I’m having a hard time being happy in the place I’m in today.

I hope things get better for you.  Just know that us other waiting bees understand your pain.

@ms.oregon.state: Can I be invited to your pity party too ๐Ÿ™‚

I hate days like that. All you wanna do is put your comfy PJ’s on and curl up in a ball. It’s exhausting! But try doing something that makes you feel good… shopping, eating ice cream or pizza (personally I’d take the pizza over anything). Try watching a horror movie… It’ll get your mind off of waiting for at least an hour, and then after the movie you’ll be so terrified that you won’t even think about waiting! (try watching Paranormal Activity… super creepy!!).

@ms.oregon.state: Cheesecake and wine. God that’s the best. ๐Ÿ™‚ If that doesn’t make a person feel better I don’t know what would. ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s funny how family makes things so much worse despite having the best intention. Hope you feel better.

I’m with you all too. It’s been a tough waiting day for me, too.  I too am waiting to hear back from jobs so I can move down to where bf is, and it just feels like my whole life is one endless wait after the other. We should all have a pity party together ๐Ÿ™‚

@fromthestart: It’s always the important things too. Want a burger, you get a burger. You want a new pair of jeans? You buy them. Little things a instantaneous. The second they get a little bit of importance they become nuanced and you can never get your answer immediately. Sometimes it’s enough to make you crazy. Good luck with the jobs. Crossing my fingers for some good news

I’m having a bad waiting day, too! I’m having a GREAT day, but man, as far as waiting goes I’m very antsy. He had to introduce me to someone today and I cringed waiting for it.. “This is my girlfriend, Leah.”

Bring some of that cheesecake this way!
