Hello, hive! It’s been awhile since I’ve been here but I some support right now.
I’m working, going to school and do community theater on the side. We just finished a show yesterday and this week I’m stage managing a production at my church. The show opens on Thursday so we have a rehearsal everyday this week. My husband is playing bass and my mom is acting in the show. On Saturday’s rehearsal, I was very tired and grumpy from all the stuff going on. My checkbone really hurt when I closed my eyes but thought it was just stress. At one point one of the actors asked if I was okay since my eye looked red. I said I was just tired but when I looked in the mirror I saw it was firey red. Long story short, I ended up in the ER at midnight that night. It turned out to be conjuntivitis and a corneal abrasion! Aghhh! I work with kids so this isn’t completely out of the blue, but the timing is just awful!
I had a followup this morning and they want me to stay home until at least Wednesday. My eye is still really red and swollen so I have another appointment on Friday to get some more medication since it’s becoming infected. I’ve never had anything this serious before and it’s really bumming me out. It’s lonely and frustrating. Not to mention, it hurts! I really thought I was getting better too. Until today, the eye itself never really hurt.
Good thoughts and prayers would be much appreciated! Or at the very least, making this into a fun thread to cure the boredom!
Thanks for taking the time to read! <3
