I like the chicken tikka masala frozen dinner.  It’s small, but it somehow makes me feel full (maybe it’s the spices?).

Man I wish we had a trader joe’s around us. When i lived with my mom, we would make a trip to the one closer to her every once in a while and I love love love love their food. And their prices? Pretty darn reasonable. Our closest one is like an hour and a half away.

Oh man I love me some Trader Joes.  I’ve been going at least once a week. Granted, every now and then I get something there that is inedible, but by and large I’m a big fan.  Lately the following have been on my must buy list.

Paneer Tikka Masala w/ Spinach Basmati Rice

Masala Burgers w/ the frozen Naan

Coffee and vanilla ice cream bars (90 calories of scrumptiousness)

Fresh Hot Salsa

Masala Lentil Dip (but they haven’t had it they last few times, I’m afraid they got rid of it)

Jalepeno pub cheese if I’m having people over or something.  Otherwise I eat the whole thing.

Arugula Frozen Pizza

Turkey Meatballs

Butternut Squash Risotto

Chimichurri Rice

and I’m sure there are more.  I’m going to have to try the everything crackers, they sound good!

ETA – I learned the hard way that I am incapable of controlling myself around the dark chocolate caramel and sea salt chocolate bar, so I don’t even try.  I am pretty sure that is going to be part of my post bar exam splurge though.

I love Trader Joe’s too, but it’s out of the way for me to get there! Probably a good thing, since I tend to go overboard there too. I like…

– meringue cookies

– orange mango juice

– maple shredded wheat cereal

– chicken sausage

– lavender hand soap

I’ve heard they have really good brown rice that you just microwave, but I haven’t tried it yet.

@Sassygrn:  That’s why I haven’t tried it yet!  I’m afraid I will like it a little too much.  Same with Nutella.

They have some kind of veggie burgers with indian spices that are to DIE for. On a roll with a spoonful of mango chutney (instead of ketchup) they are the BEST veggie burger I’ve ever had. TJ’s is the only place I can ever find my favorite Clif Bar flavor (carrot cake) and I am sooo tempted by their candy, especially the peanut butter cups and the candied almonds.

@Jijitattoo:  Those are the Masala Burgers!  Sooo yummy.  I have the mango ginger chutney for those too.

I saute mine with a little of TJ’s coconut oil.  Yum.

Before I had to stop eating gluten, I would go get a package if TJ tzatziki and a bag of pita chips for lunch once a week or so 🙂 now, I buy their chicken taquitos like crazy and I love trying new simmer sauces and condiments. I love the flaxseed tortilla chips and the hansbero salsa. Their brown rice pasta is the best I’ve had, too!

I am obsessed with the chicken tikka masala and butter chicken frozen meals. I stock up on those things! I think many other people are also obsessed because they are often sold out.
