@blondiegirl:  I personally wouldn’t sign both.

I would just have the picture frame, in my experience nobody signs guest books properly anymore. Of course your guests might be the exception…

A fair amount of guests will probably only sign one or the other.  I’d do just the picture frame and try to resell the guestbook if it’s a really pricey one…otherwise I’d just donate it.

@blondiegirl:  We’re doing two… a thumbprint tree and a traditional guestbook.  We wanted people to have space to write something if they were moved to do so…  But I definitely hope they’ll all leave their thumbprint!

I have a beautiful, traditional guest book. I love it.

I would not have both. There is SO much going on at a wedding, and, unless you capture every guest as he or she arrives, usually people have to remind themselves to remember to sign these or have to stand in a bit of a line to sign them. I don’t think most people would want to sign both.

@blondiegirl:  You could also make a small sign and ask people to add their signature to the photo mat, and then give their wishes/advice/etc in the guestbook.  I don’t think people will write a sentence or two on both… but they could write just their name on one and their comments in the other!
