I was torn between no veil and a birdcage veil. I am wearing a birdcage veil for the ceremony and a headpiece (has feathers and a delicate pearl headband) for the reception. That way I can’t regret it either way! Lol

I think that dress would look super sassy with a birdcage. I did birdcage (i had a vintag-inspired 1920s dress) and got a ton of compliments!

I never cared for a traditional veil. They’re pretty, I just never liked them. I went looking on Etsy to.find a.nice hair clip to wear instead, but that didn’t feel bridal enough for me. I ended up running across birdcage veils at Etsy and fell in love. I think your dress can totally rock a.birdcage or hairclip. I honestly recommend browsing etsy for birdcage veils, there are TONS.

Thank you so MUCH for all the feedback ladies! I’m leaning definitely towards a birdcage vs. veil & if I can’t find a cute birdcage, I’ll try to find a clip in hair accessory of some sort. I do agree this dress needs some kind of finishing touch on top & the birdcage or hair accessory should do it! One of my gf’s did mention it looks like I’m just wearing a fancy dress out to a ball or something if I don’t have a finishing headpiece to complete the bridal look 😉
AND much thanks to all the kind words on my dress fit 🙂 I was really self conscious about this mermaid/trumpt style wedding dress & I didn’t even pick it out myself- my gf made me try it on & I ended up LOVING it! Glad she made me try it on or I’d be wearing a poofy princess style wedding dress! I love that look, but it didn’t suit my style I think.
