I am a Catholic bride. I am looking for a little advice. My finace and I went and visited with the organist that will be playing th music at our wedding ceremony. While meeting with him he played Trumpet Voluntary as a suggestion. I liked it (I am not that picky), but then he sent us our tentative wedding program with the song Trumpet Tune written in as the song I would be walking in with. After listening to both of them I am confused.
@BeeRod527: Thanks for the suggestions but I’m looking for something that has a little more WOW factor. I want those church doors to fly open at the sound of a trumpet (even if I can not afford a real trumpetist).
@Ennie: Though beautiful, Canon in D is a little slow for my taste so my bridesmaids are going to walk down to it.
Our bridal party is walking into canon d and I am walking into trumpet voluntary … very traditional BUT sounds great. We hired a trumpet player to play with the organist for the ceremony. Totally worth the extra money … sounds great inside the church.
Also Catholic and we’re going with some wildlly untraditional entrance music, that, so far, they haven’t said no to, lol.
But, there isn’t a right or wrong. Pick the one you like. Try going on youtube and searching wedding entrances. Pick what’s going to make you happy. And if you really don’t care, let someone else just pick for you and worry about some things you do care about.
