Yes dumb! Let it out girl! I once got a ticket for a rolling stop. I was almost at a complete stop but did not stop %100. How dumb! And it was in a residential area, NO ONE WAS AROUND. Except for that stupid cop. LOL

Haha the only ticket I’ve ever gotten was from a speed camera in Maryland. For starters, I hate Maryland, so getting that ticket and having to make a check out to “State of Maryland” really just rubbed me raw. It was in a construction zone on the freeway, so the speed limit was dropped to 50 during that section of road. But of course it was nighttime when I drove through there, so there was no construction and thus no reason for the speed limit to be dropped to 50 … but no matter. I was keeping a close eye on my speed, since my car-mate had warned me about the speed cameras. Well, we were listening to something funny on the radio and I guess I got carried away because I got a ticket for going 63.

Yep. I got a SPEEDING TICKET for going 63 ON THE INTERSTATE. It was only $40 but still.

I’m surprised they could even get a clear picture of my license plate at that speed. I would have expected a big blur like The Flash! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH 63mph muthaf*ckas!!!!!!

@GreenEyedMoon:  That whole situation is SO dumb! That they have cops posted near a bunch of distracting signs to catch the people who aren’t seeing the stop sign AND that they aren’t on top of their paper work. (probably bc they are still staked out at that intersection)

If I were you I would return to that intersection and take a picture of the stop sign and all of the other signs around it. (and maybe someone else pulled over if they are there.) If it is so distracting and there are SO many people being pulled over I’m sure that if you bring that with you to court when you go to take care of the ticket the judge will see the problem and either reduce your ticket or throw it out all together. Good Luck!

You broke the law.  Pay the ticket.  You should be lucky that when you ran the stop sign you didn’t hit anyone and hurt them or worse.

@dkacerek:  or, she could point out that the construction is creating a dangerous situation by obstructing clear view of the stop sign, since she was clearly not the only one to make that mistake.

Is there any way to pay the ticket online or by mail? I have never been required to pay in person (I have gotten 1 speeding ticket and parking ticket).

@dkacerek:  I agree, especially in a construction zone- there is a reasson fines double-it is very dangerous for the people working there when drivers can’t drive safely. We all make mistakes, but I would rather them pull me over and tell me I missed something then to do it repeatedly and end up hurting somebody.

Oh man is it somewhere around the clusterfuck that is 635 since they started all that construction? I’ve nearly missed quite a few signs because there’s so freaking many of them – I nearly work myself into an anxiety attack because I’m like WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?!

Anyway, can you not pay by mail or online? I haven’t actually gotten a ticket, but my husband has gotten a few and he always goes with those options. Annnnd just saw your response…never mind that!

Regardless of the ticket situation: I hate how the DMV/County Clerks Office/ Social Security offices are only open from 8-4 or 8-3. That means I ALWAYS have to take off work!
