I went through something similiar…I put a $700 deposit down on a dress, went home

and had huge dress regret. I called the salon and asked them not to order it. I couldnt get my deposit back buy they were willing to transfer the deposit to anything else on the store.

It’s really up to the store. If you are having any regret call ASAP. Usually dresses are ordered weekly. It will depend on if they have placed the order with the designer and if they can cancrl the order or if it’s in production.

I just googled both dresses and both are GORGEOUS. I think you will look great no matter what you end up with.

Yup I had an experience where a dress shop offered to order my dream dress… but I couldn’t try it on. She told me whatever I paid could be transferred to another dress if I didn’t like  but I hadn’t liked anything else in the shop and the lady had this attitude like “You don’t know what you want, I know what you want” So I ended up opting out of purchasing there.

I hope they can change your order though that would be awesome! Good Luck!

That happened to me.  I called up the salon and they said I could come back and reselect, however when I came back I fell in love with the original dress all over again

Maggie may be able to take the dress order back, but typically there is a ‘restocking fee’ of at least $50-150 depending on the designer. I’m not sure what Maggie’s is. Sorry 🙁

Once they have ordered it from Maggie they are obligated to pay for the dress so unless its a popular style/color/size etc they may not want to do that.

@Ell3355:  it would definitely be up to Maggie Sottero if the store has already sent the order and it has been processed. I’m a former bridal consultant and have had this issue/question before. It could take a few days for an answer because the store uses a local-ish distribution rep for ordering who then places the order with Maggie (at least thats how it was done when i worked in the industry about 5 years ago)

Hopefully they will let you make the switch!
