hi all. I own a daschund that is 10 lbs and is very picky with her food. I would like to switch her food to blue wilderness or taste of wild from actrium food. Evenutaly i would like both my small dogs. Will it be an easier transition to put her on the taste of wild ? is it harder to get her on the blue wilderness because of the higher quality? If anyone has advice they can give me that would be great.

every dog is different. our dog eats taste of the wild and loves all the flavors.

ajillity81: Yes. I find with her that i have to heat in the microwave for a couple months at least until she gets use to it, and even when giving different flavor of the same brand.

DiamondnLovey: ajillity81: Agreed! Every dog is different. 2 of mine have tender bellies and so I’ve put them ALL on limited ingredient (expensive) food. Would also like to transition the other 2 to something less pricey. Oy. Just do it slowly… Good luck!

I think as long as you do it slowly and gradually, she’ll be fine. I transitioned my kitty from Purina to Blue over the course of 2 weeks.

Good luck… and good choice of food, by the way.
It seems that commercial pet foods have really improved in the past few years.
