The photographer will drive their own vehicle, assuming you are not in a metro area like NYC where the photog uses public transit. In my area, I always drive between getting ready, ceremony, and reception. And I usually am a few minutes ahead of my brides.

It actually can be difficult to take wedding party transportation and I generally discourage it if a bride asks, given there is little room for me and my equipment and I won’t be able to get back to my car later.

Yeah, just let your photographer know and he or she will take care of his or her own transportation, provided you aren’t in city where parking would be an issue. If your photographer has to pay to park at mulitple locations beyond ceremony/reception, be prepared for them to possibly charge you.

Unlike Kwynn, I actually prefer to ride in the limo when there is one. This is for no other reason than my brides really tend to love their limo shots. Obviously it’s more convenient/relaxing to take my own transportation, but if it’s important to the bride, I’m happy to accommodate so long as I have a way of getting back to my car setup in advance.

Yup, photographers drive themselves. I don’t think that you are losing anything if you have them drive themselves and not rent a common mode of transportation.

We did 3 hours of on-location shoots (3 locations) so we did rent a limo, which was fun since they were able to capture some candid moments in the car with the wedding party. Since it doesn’t seem like you will be doing this, they can drive themselves
