Are any of you providing transportation for your guests to get back to the hotels safely? I was wondering what you are doing (taxis, shuttle, etc). Are you paying a flat rate or how is it being handled?
More than half of my guests will be out of towners and I want everyone to be able to drink but not to worry about the transportation.
Also, if we are doing transportation do we also shuttle the guests from the hotels to the event? Or will they simply have to go back and get their cars the next morning?

I am using a charter bus to take guests to and from the hotel and wedding. The fee was based on an hourly rate for me. I will be having the bus stay throughout the whole wedding, so when someone needs to leave, they can.

from what i hear, transportation companies usually have a minimum number of hours that you can use them, and charge by the hour after that. for the weddings i’ve been to that have provided transportation (such a nice idea by the way), the transportation has been both ways.

The hotel where we booked our block of rooms provides a shuttle bus within a certain area (which our reception hall falls within) so we will be using that at the end of the night!

@misspug oh i forgot, we did have a minimum # of hours and it was hourly after that!
