Fiance is really into cars so after discussing posibilities of getting a limo to fit entire party….it got very expensive due to the time inbetween ceremony and reception….we discussed not getting limos, then we discussed getting a rolls royce limo service for just the two of us….then we were going to rent a Maserati, and he would drive us down to the reception site, which is about 45 minute from chapel. and of course, then he mentions it to his mom who thinks the ideas are terrible and that we should provide transportation for the entire bridal party and that we are being rude. but our thought was; that how will the bridal party get back home? it is 40 min from chapel and then whatever additional to their individual residences.
are we being rude? that is the last thing i want to be!

I think it would be nice to provide transportation from the chapel to the reception site, presumably your bridesmaids are travelling with you to the chapel so won’t have their own transportation to the reception?

I have honestly thought about providing transportation for all, especially actually for my folks whom I would like to honor in some ways. But I was reminded by some couples that have just got married that if we are to get transportation, just get it for us two because we NEED the time right after the ceremony to be alone, to take it all in, to breath, to really look at each other for the first time as husband and wife. So taking their advice, we will drive our car to the receptions site ourselves, to enjoy our first moment together, alone, as husband and wife.
