I’m a bit confused on the logistics of transportation.
If I were to get a limo when do I use it? Is it to take the wedding party to the ceremony site and then to the reception site? What happens to the groom and bride? We’re not supposed to see each other so how do we get there, or does the limo take the guys first, then girls to the church?
What happens after the reception? Do I still provide transportation? Isn’t renting a limo from the time of the ceremony to past the reception extremely expensive? What about the ring bearer and flower girl, how do they get to and fro?
Sorry, the logistics of everything is really confusing. Movies don’t help at all! They always show the bride and groom immediately leaving the church and everyone being outside throwing rice at them. But the bride and groom usually walk out of the church first, so how does that even happen, and then what about all the wedding party pictures?

In the weddings I have been in, if there was a limo it brought the bride to the church and then the bride & groom (and sometimes the entire wedding party to the reception. But you dont have to have a limo. How far away is the ceremony and reception? Does the bridal party have their own cars? Does someone you know have a nice car that can transport you and the groom? As for the ring bearere and flower girl, their parents usually bring them.
The wedding that i have been to with a rice toss, the bride and groom stayed in the church to do a recieveing line, then all the guest went outside to wait for them.

we had the limo pick up the boys at the hotel they were staying at (almost all of our groomsmen were from out of town) and brought them to the church for the ceremony – my girls and I just drove ourselves there, my mom lives right around the corner from the church so we got ready at her house and drove ourselves to the church. from there we had the limo take me, my groom and the entire wedding party to the reception where we took some pictures and then were put into a holding room during the cocktail hour until everyone was seated in the reception room and we could be introduced.
it worked out wonderfully.

Well, we’re having a limo take the guys to the venue (same for ceremony and reception) and a party bus (my dad knows a guy so thats how it just worked out) to take the girls there, I THINK the party bus is going to go back and pick up some of our Australian (and therefore car-less) friends since it will be cheaper than a bunch of cabs.. then at the end of the night, Kingy and I will take the limo home together and (if the Aussies decide to use the party bus) they will take the party bus home and everyone who doesn’t want to chip in with them will have to scavenge a ride- which wont be hard between siblings and friends.
