Darling Husband and I went to a wedding last night, and Darling Husband brother was invited. His brother lives an hour away, so he drove to our apartment and we all went together.
I noticed at the wedding he was knocking back a few drinks and asked Darling Husband how he was getting home, as he wouldn’t be right to drive and Darling Husband said he could just crash on our couch and leave in the morning when Darling Husband went to work- which was fine.
Darling Husband left for work an hour ago, and his brother is still on the lounge, snoring. I want to get up and have my usual “I have a hangover” breakfast and watch TV but I can’t because he is out there.
I love Darling Husband brother, but I don’t feel like being social and want to enjoy my day off doing what I want- lounging around in my pjs, eating waffles and watching trashy TV!
I am going to try and fall back asleep but my tummy hurts from being so hungry. How do I get him to leave without being rude?

I’d just start banging around in the kitchen making breakfast etc – hopefully that’ll wake him up and he’ll leave!

If I do that, he will wake up and hang around for breakfast and then make chit chat. He is single, and I think a little lonely and will want to stay.
We are actually quite good friends, but when I am hungover the only person I can stand to be around is Darling Husband.

@lolot: good idea! I second this idea. If he has a huge hangover and you are being loud he will prob be out in no time!

@dannielle89: Wake him up and tell him you’re sick and would like to be alone?

@dannielle89: Maybe wake him up and tell him you have to be somewhere in 30 mins and you will need to have him go so you can lock the house up? Then go down the street and come back.

@Fruitypebbles193: That was my plan! BUT he just left. Come at me kitchen!

@dannielle89: Yay! I feel your pain, and I’m glad you have your house to yourself now. I love friends and family, but when they sleep over, I’m even happier when they leave 🙂
