Ive seen this only once.  Id be terrified, but they pictures were incredible.  The bride actually lit the skirt and train of her dress on fire, teh photog snapped a bunch of very quick shots, then the bride jumped off a dock and into the water to put it out.  So the jumping shots were cool too.  Im not sure if you want to wreck it that much though.

Think contrast – a dirty dingy place next to a beautiful gown. posing on a bunch of jagged rocks, etc.  Check out Mrs Sea Breeze’s recaps, she did one on the beach too!

Im doing one this spring, but buying a fill in white dress to do it (off ebay or something).  I cant bring myself to roll around in the mud in mine…

There are a lot of beachy touristy shops in Mallorca that are pretty cool.  It would be fun to act like a tourist in a wedding dress maybe.

Also, there is some cliff thing you can climb there and I know there are great pictures at the top.

I’ve always liked the ones in a pool.

I love the idea of a Trash the Dress session.  I don’t think it needs to be as extreme as some brides make it (burning, throwing paint on it, etc) if you’re worried about really ruining the dress.  I think the most beautiful pics are the ones where the dress is featured in a location that isn’t “normal” for a wedding dress.  Some ideas that come to mind are rolling around in the sand on a beach, an industrial/urban background, or being in the middle of a forest could qualify I think. I’ve seen some amazing sessions that were taken just laying in a field or with some great backgrounds with graffiti or old cars like a junkyard!  If those locations aren’t available because of where you’ll be, you could always schedule a Trash the Dress session after the wedding/honeymoon when you’re back home!
