My husband and I were married in October on the beach and we have 1 session left with our photographer and want to do a trash the dress session this coming October for our 1 year anny.
I will not be doing this in my wedding dress as I am quite sure I would be murdered by several family members if I did. So my question/dilemma is do I find a cheap cheap version of my dress (lace, keyhole back-in the pic) or a totally different type of dress? Thoughts?

I would go for a similar style. =)

I personally would go for something completely different if I were in this situation. While I’m sure you loooooveeed your dress, wasn’t there another style or look you had considered? I vote for take the opportuinty to try it out. Anyone looking at your TTD photos will know that it isn’t the SAME dress, as will you, so why not do something completely different and fun?

@KoalaWalla: I second this! 😉

Thank you all for your comments, in the process of trying to find a dress.

It seems really wasteful to buy another dress just to ruin it. Perhaps you could get a very, very cheap one? And maybe don’t really trash it…that way you can clean it up and donate it.

I’m way confused. I thought the point of trash the dress was because you’re never going to wear your wedding dress again. Wouldn’t buying a new dress to trash kinda defeat that purpose? I’m not very familiar with this idea so maybe I’m just not understanding it correctly.
Are you just looking for a way to use up the last photo session? Have you considered boudoir photos or family pictures or pregnancy photos?
