The pictures end up like this:
To me, those pictures are beautiful.

I did not reply to talk her out of it, I had honestly never heard of this and didn’t understand. I figured the ladies on here could explain it since they were talking about it. I read “trash the dress” and I’m imagining someone ripping up and spray painting a brand new dress they just spent a ton of money on. The whole thing had me awfully confused. This looks to me that “trash the dress” is a term being used to mean, “get the dress wet for cool pictures”, which I don’t see issue with. If getting married on the beach I think it’s a cool idea to do underwater pics if you can. Sorry if I offended anyone, I just figured wedding site, I could ask wedding related questions.

sorry, I didn’t understand that you were genuinely asking. A lot of the bees are really “against” trash the dress for whatever reason and anytime someone comes on here and asks a TTD related question, they will come on and ask why the person is doing it and tell them that it’s wasteful and essentially, in not so many words, that it’s stupid. i can understand in some respect bc a lot of them say you can donate the dress instead, but there have been polls done before and a lot of brides just keep their dress in a box, which is just as wasteful so i don’t really see the point in them arguing with it. anyway, i’m sorry i was rude back to you, i was under the impression you were trying to talk the OP out of her decision to do the shoot.

wow such discussion here!! i actually don’t like the TTD shoots w/ paint and mud, i find they look too dirty and messy. i want to look pretty in my pics! hahaha
i actually plan on selling the dress after or making it into a short dress if it’s not ruined!
it also seems like the beige gemma is in the lead! i think im still a bit torn! i love all things beige/nude but that red is so dramatic looking…lol!!
has anyone one done a beach wedding or TTD session w/ a red dress? i’m curious to see how the colors work out.

those replicas are from DHGate and Aliexpress basically chinese ebay there’s several sellers selling them actually

I doubt it would bleed. It’s probably 100% synthetic material, where the color is mixed into the plastic, rather than dyed.

ME, TOO! just the sound it makes when you rub it between your fingers is scary! 😉
I thought as much, just sharing a funny thought, sometimes it’s really crazy inside my head 😉

I love the red one!! It’s not going to be as Bridal, but you already have a ton of bridal photos from your wedding. Now you will have some amazing romatic photos of the two of you that are still bridal-ish, but awesome b/c of the Red Dress. Go for the Red one!!!

Those are all really pretty dresses, but I’ve heard horror stories about girls getting weighed down by the dress once it’s wet and some have even drowned. I’d suggest something lighter and more flowy. Please be careful!

I freakin LOVE the red dress, but I’m having a hard time picking that one over all the others because of the color itself. I’m just worried that the TTD photoshoot will end up not looking “wedding-y” (if you know what I mean?). If you’re not too worried about that, then PLEASE GET THE RED DRESS!!!!
