I don’t care about getting it wet. “Trash the dress” should mean what it means.

@MrsDocHorrorShow:  But why do you care so much  what someone else does with something they paid for??

Reality check ladies…your daughters are likely NOT gonna want to wear your outdated old wedding dress.  You are not on the level of Mother Theresa because you donated your used dress.  So if a bride wants to destroy her dress, WHO CARES?  I do not get why so many people get so up in arms over this topic.

@nursemel:  I agree that who cares if a bride wants to trash her dress or not. It’s HER dress! I disagree with you though about the OP paying for his wife’s hair and makeup to be done unless she has agreed to do a trash the dress shoot. Because as far as we know, she still doesn’t, and shouldn’t be made to feel like she has to go along because OP has paid for her hair and makeup already.

Any update OP?

@Jacqui90:  Oh I meant if she agreed to the shoot for him to do that, not before! Like offer it to her when he talks to her about it.

I’d be mad too if my husband was like “but I already paid for this so you have to do it”

I hate all the negativity that is on the thread.  You can have your opinion and voice it in a nice way.  There’s no reason to be nasty or assume the OP is a troll.  I wouldn’t come back to this website if I were him.

I wanna do a trash the dress photoshoot because i too think it’s awesome! BUT.. i love my wedding dress so i’m buying a cheap wedding dress that looks a bit like my dress and i’m gonna trash it real good! HA! I’m actually excited!

So Pat, maybe you could just buy her a cheap wedding dress to trash instead? Wink

[content moderated for name-calling] Just because its not something YOU would do doesnt mean you should be rude about it! Jeeze laweeze its just a DRESS!!!! A THING! And thread after thread about this subject you’d think you know by now its really more of a term use for a glam stye shoot. Sorry the world calls is a trash the dress, get over yourself. If you want to get really down to it weddings are a total waste!! You dont need a grand party, food, a fancy dress, or the like to marry the one you love!

Patrick I think its great you want to see your wife all dolled up in her dress again. 🙂
