Has anyone from in or around New England ever won a package (like 4 airfare tickets) from a company called Northeast Getaways? I entered to win at a local Pet Show and got a “shaddy” call from an agent, asked a ton of questions and she tried to get me to sign up to pick up the tickets at a place a travel company around 45 mins away called Premium Destinations where I would book an appointment, go watch a video about the companies concierge service (no obligation), then I could pick up my tickets and a restaurant gift card. I told her I would call back (as in my head this seemed like a scam). They did not ask for a credit card or any payment info, said everything was free and because it was a gift I wouldn’t pay anything, not even taxes. Any insight into if this is a scam. Their website is very simple, not much on it – http://www.northeastgetaways.com/.
Just wondering if anyone has been through anything similar and what the result was. For now, I’m going to not answer the calls or book an appointment to pick up the “package.”
