Does anyone have any ideas for a travel theme Candy Bar? I really want to have a candy bar, but it seems a bit random with our travel theme (think vintage suitcases, globes, table with city names instead of numbers, etc).
We are getting married in the fall, so originally I was thinking a candy bar full of pumpkin stuff and caramel apples, etc, but now I’m all into the travel theme. 🙂
OR we could do a s’more bar—love that idea—but I also don’t know how well it fits with the travel theme…
Any ideas—plus pics if you have them!!–are most appreciated. Any other travel ideas welcome too!

Candies or sweets from around the world- or cities to which you have travelled.
Use large maps for tablecloths
Have little cards explaining the significance of each candy. Use luggage tags for labels.
Add a globe to the table for decor.
Use small vanity cases or cardboard suitcases to elevate the candy containers, or use them instead of candy containers.

do you love near a cost plus/world market? they have a nice selection of candy from around the globe. pick a few favorites and look online for better pricing.
you could also do something simple like chocolates, it is relatively easy to get chocolate from nearly every contintent now.

I love the ideas of both PP’s!! Could you display the candy in suitcases lined with wax paper, maybe?? Like this…ETA: Oops! Julies read my mind!!?

I LOVE the ideas of the PP, and I don’t have anything to add idea wise, but I think if you were to decorate the table in a travel-related way, then everyone loves a good candy bar and there is no need to have the general idea of a candy buffet match the travel theme, if that makes sense?
