Our plan is to do Italy, Turkey, & Greece on a Meditteranean cruise for our honeymoon. And we’d love to go to Austrailia in celebration of our graduations (Master’s programs, my 2nd, his 1st) which will be about a year after we get married. We both looovvvve to travel. :o)

Our next trip is the Netherlands in September to visit my in-laws. 🙂 I can’t wait!
Places that are on my list of want to’s are:
- Austrailia/New Zealand
I love to travel though, so pretty much anywhere that I haven’t been is a place I’d like to go! lol

It’s not a big trip for us (2 hours!) but Florence is next up, the week after next.
Then it’s the honeymoon next summer- Italy again: Rome, Venice and Sicily 🙂
After the last few long distance holidays we’ve had- Antigua, Jamaica, Bali (all between 12-17 hours from the UK- Yikes!) we’re looking forward to sticking close to home the next couple of times. Plus there’s so many beautiful places in Europe we haven’t seen which is silly as we’re so close to them all!

Fiance says all I talk about are trips…he’s kinda right. I live for my next trip! Thankfully he loves travel too..
This summer we are going to Chania, Crete before going to our village summer homes and our honeymoon will be in Prague-Vienna.
Then in Easter we are deciding between Scotland and Florence. We will probably go to Scotland.
Advice to the OP- I wouldnt go to just Budapest if I were you- include Prague and Vienna since they are close by train and much nicer in my humble opinion. 🙂

Oh man, you are all making me jealous!
I wish Florence was two hours from me!!! 🙁 Lucky you! 🙂
Thanks! If we do end up going to Budapest probably 3-4 days tops plus 1 day in countryside. And yes, it looks like Vienna and Prague are very close by. In which case I would lean towards Prague personally.

@Ree723: you are my hero. i just did the trip you described through argentina to ushuaia down to antarctica (although the emperor penguins are on the other side of antarctica. you’ll get TONS of gentoos, chinstraps and adelies, though!) and it was the BEST THING IN THE ENTIRE WORLD. like you, i’ve hit zillions of countries (i have seriously lost count because it became too confusing to define “country”) and antarctica was my last continent. and i promise you, it is absolutely the best one. the. best. i’m getting giddy just thinking about it. i thought that was going to be a once in a lifetime trip for me, but no way. no way i’m not going back there.

We’re going to Ireland in September 2012. And I would love to go to Disney sometime before that…my husband has never been and doesn’t get the appeal 🙂 and I really would like to go before we have kids (I think it’s a completely different, and in some ways better, experience to go as adults w/o kids).

@Gerbera: We will be away for 3.5 months. Planning the details of that is harder than planning the wedding!

we’re going to london for a week in august for our 1 year anniversary 🙂 we were going to go to CA to help my brother and his family move (aka babysit my niece while he and sil set up their house) but their timing changed so it doesn’t work for us to go. i’m going to need to go to the uk a lot in the coming years for my research so it’ll be fun to have some vacation time there first, and i might do a little work while we’re there…and hubby lived there for a year but hasn’t gone back since–it’s been about 4 years already! plus, it was the best deal we could find 😉 we’d have loved to go to another european city, but it was more expensive. and we thought about a beach vacay, but our last 2 vacays were to the caribbean and hubby wanted something different

We’ve caught the travel bug! We’re living in Abu Dhabi right now, so travel is a lot easier than it was from the states.
I did China about two years ago and loved it. Just saw Shanghai, so I definitely want to go back and see more.
We just got back from Mumbai, India this last weekend… and I’m considering the trip a success because neither of us got food poisoning. It was a neat trip, but not a place I would recommend that just anyone visit. It was a little depressing.
We’re hoping to do the lakes in Northern Italy at the end of the summer… but we’ll see!
