I found these great slate vases. I like how the guy had dried tree branches in some of them. He had three tall branches of curly willow in another vase, but I didn’t take a picture of that one. I think they look unique and dramatic.
My invitations have a tree and branch design. I’m planning on having a wish tree. When I showed this to my parents, they thought it would be a horrible centerpiece, because “dead tree branches represent death” and should not be part of a marriage celebration. I completely disagree. I think it will be a great way to carry through my fall tree theme. I would probably use curly willow, or some with curly willow and others with another type of branch. My local Hobby Lobby has a big selection of dried (and fake) branches.
I do not want cut flowers. My other centerpiece option/idea is potted plants, probably white orchids. Do you think it’s inappropriate to have tree branches as a centerpiece?
