So Fiance and I went to shoot pre wedding photos today. So I also went for a trial for my hair and makeup! I’m so very happy with how it turned out, and feel beautiful!:) I’ve taken photos just after it got done and a few hours later. My brief formakeup was not too much, natural but still there. As I don’t wear much makeup day to day, I still wanted to be me. And for hair my inspiration was this:
And, this is how it turned out!
Just a few side notes. I didnt want much colour on my cheeks as it was a very hot day and I naturally blush. most the photos were taken in the car after I’d been in the aircon’d studio and in the car. I’m having an outdoor wedding, so I didn’t want to be too coloures on the cheeks. I think on the day, I will Also tuck the two side pieces up as they blew around and went ‘fluffy’ quickly.
so bees, what do you think?

From what I can tell the hair looks really pretty. I’m not fond of the makeup though, it looks like a beginner did it. =/

Sunbeam-bride: it turned out very nicely, but I think it could use some small tweaks here and there.
im not sure she’s using the best powder? I also have shiny skin and I think it shows too much.
Also I get your point with blush, but I’d at least try some very “light” one, like a peachy shade that blends in well but does give you some color on the cheeks.
Is that your natural lip color? I can’t really tell. If it is I would add just a bit if color here as well, I think a nude shade would look natural and blend in nicely with your eye colors.
The eyeshadow turned out very nicely I think! Not sure whether this was a request by you but I think you could play down the brows a bit more. While I sometimes like this look and do it myself, if you want to go for a natural look I would use a less dark shade for them (I have very dark hair as well as I have brown skin color, but I can use both a very dark brown for my brows but also a quite light one without it looking odd, just going two different looks).
Id like to see the back of your hair better but what I can see from it I think she did a great job.

Looks good to me!

I’ll pull out some critique though, please don’t take offence! Feel free to discard, this is just my thoughts 🙂
Your right eye looks like it has more liner/darkness around it than the left. Not sure if this is just a trick of the light or angle, but maybe something to watch out for on the day?
Your eyebrows look a little too coloured in – not sure if they actually are or not. But then personally I’m not a fan of coloured in eye brows, so it could just be me being picky!
In the shady picture the area under your eyes looks kinda grey, where the rest of your face is peachy. Again, could just be a trick of the light, and in the light pictures it looks perfect.
I agree you don’t need more colour on your cheeks! And lip and eye colour look perfect!
Overall, absolutely lovely 😀

Sunbeam-bride: I think the eyes look a tad uneven, one looks like more liner than the other, but I really like the colors she used to highlight the inner corner. Id apply some natural lashes to enhance your eyes more & maybe a bit more lip color:) Overall you look beautiful though, just a few tweaks!

beautiful!!! i would ask for more strains of hair loose on the side of your face to make it softer. but i love it!

MsquareM: Thanks for your feedback. The blush was my choice, she did put blush on but to me it looked funny so she took it off. The lips were about 2hours after, so had probably worn off, but it was a nudey pink colour.
As for the brows, my beauty tech had an apprentice that had an “accident” when waxing my brows, which left me with a literal gap in one eyebrow. (sigh) so thats why they were so dark. She did try a lighter shade but it was noticably visible.

christoffels: Thanks for your feedback. Now that you mention, I can see what you mean about the under eyes thing. My photographer has given us our 2 sneak peeks and its not noticble in those pics(thank god) but I’ll keep your suggestion in mind on the day. As mentioned to a PP, my beauty tech’s apprentice had a mishap and waxed a spot out of the middle of my brow(sigh). So thats why they were coloured in so much, Im hoping it’ll grow back normal:)

Barbiestylez: Thanks for your imput. She did try lashes on,but she only had 2 differnt pairs, but to me they felt funny(Ive never worn them before) and I felt I looked a bit to deer in headlights. So she was going to find some no so dramatic ones to try on the day. I agree with you about the liner too. But that could have been when I was in the car trying to rub my eyes, but not rub them..LOL

I like the hair but I would suggest loose hair in the front, if you don’t have bangs. If you do have bangs, then loosen them up and curl them like the second inspiration picture. It would look easier, more laid back, yet always as elegant and romantic. I like the makeup, but I’m not particularily fond the gold highlights. Overall, I like this look.

You look beautiful! I would maybe ask for more volume on the sides of your hair.
