I have dermatillomania, which is skin picking. It’s so frustrating.

One, because I have ADD, I have the attention span of a gnat. So when I’m trying to focus, my hand instinctively gravitates towards my face to pick acne. Two, my ADD meds are technically a stimulant, so that just exacerbates the urge to pick.

Ugh, I’m like a dog with a bone. Once I start I can’t stop. I also pick my lips notoriously..so gross.

I also have dermatillomania, but it only really flares up in times of extreme stress.  It’s gotten better over the years.

Hmm, I’m wondering if I suffer mildy from this too. I don’t worry about the hair on my head, but I could daily tweeze my eyebrows and my bikini line. It’s the worst when I’m sitting in the bathroom. I’ll also just sit and pick my face, trying to empty out every pore on my face. I’ve noticed that it has gotten worse since I stopped chewing my nails, although I continue to pick my cuticles as well…. It doesn’t help that I am light skinned with dark, coarse hair.

Yeah, I actually wrote a blog post about this. I pull my eyebrows out – it’s horrible. I go through periods where I’m really awesome and basically don’t do it at all, but then I hit some sort of stressful time/situation and it comes back full force.

Seriously awful.

I had a roommate who has this and plucked out all of her eyelashes pretty much constantly. She had a lot of other anxiety/social problems and ended up trashing my entire college friend cricle :/ we no longer speak.

Yep, plucking hairs is so interesting…lol, only on the bee can I say this (and to my SO, I’ll tell him this later)
